If you want to add a Friend directly into your constellation without having to find them in-game, you can create and send a QR Code Friend invite. Your friend will need to scan or import the QR code to accept the invitation. Below are the two methods for QR Code invitations.
 
Important - a unique QR code is generated each time, so it can only be used for a single invitation before needing to create another. A maximum of seven QR codes can be active at a time, you may need to tap on a pending code and tap Confirm to free up that slot before creating a new invitation.
 

Local QR Code Scan (Invite):

  1. Tap the cog in the top right corner of your screen.
  2. Tap the Invite icon that looks like a QR Code. (This icon is also present in the Favorites section of your Friendship Constellation.)
  3. A dialogue opens that allows the user to Create or Scan Friend Invite. Add the desired name of the invitee here and click Create.
  4. The QR Code invite has been created.
     

Local QR Code Scan (Accept):

  1. Tap the cog in the top right corner of your screen.
  2. Tap the Invite icon that looks like a QR Code. (This icon is also present in the Favorites section of your Friendship Constellation.)
  3. Tap Scan Friend Invite. (Tap Ask Permission and grant the device camera permissions if needed)
  4. Use the camera to scan the QR code from the device of a user who has created a QR code invite.
  5. Click Accept.
  6. The users are now friends.
     

Offline QR Code (Invite):

  1. Tap the cog in the top right corner of your screen.
  2. Tap the Invite icon that looks like a QR Code. (This icon is also present in the Favorites section of your Friendship Constellation.)
  3. A dialogue opens that allows the user to Create or Scan Friend Invite. Add the desired name of the invitee here and click Create.
  4. Click Share to invoke the native share options. Select one (i.e. email) and send the invite.
     

Offline QR Code (Accept):

  1. Go to the invitation and save the QR Code to your photo library.
  2. Launch Sky.
  3. Tap the cog in the top right corner of your screen.
  4. Tap the Invite icon that looks like a QR Code. (This icon is also present in the Favorites section of your Friendship Constellation.)
  5. Tap Scan Friend Invite.
  6. Tap Import. (Give device OS necessary permissions.)
  7. Select the image saved in Step 1.
  8. Tap Accept.
  9. The users are now friends.
