There are multiple reasons you could be experiencing a connection error. Consider the following solutions when you encounter an error like this:
Try tapping the "Retry" button. Sometimes these errors are just a minor hiccup in the network, and trying again will solve the problem.
Try restarting your Sky app. This never hurts to do when something like this happens, and can also identify if perhaps your app is out of date and needs an update.
Try turning your device wi-fi off and then back on. This gives your device a chance to reconnect to your local wi-fi once more, in case the first time it tried to connect there were issues.
Restart your local wi-fi. If you are at home, or anywhere you can manually restart your wi-fi, it may help stabilize your connection.
Try using another network. It is always possible your network is just not working, or temporarily down. If you attempt to connect to a different network, and the problem persists, you can more confidently rule out your original network.
If none of these solutions work, it might be the case that
the Sky servers are experiencing issues. If this is the case, there isn't much you can do but wait till they are operational again. For more information, you can visit the official Sky social networks for more server status information.
